Police are asking the public's help in the search for a suspect after a man was shot and killed overnight on Long Island.
It happened at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28 in Hempstead.
According to detectives, the victim was brought to a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was near the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Clinton Street when an unidentified person shot him, police said. The victim was later pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives request anyone with information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
